Cool jQuery for Easystart Homes

I’ve done some work for Bouncing Orange, with the help of a few others, to create a website for Summit Homes called Easystart Homes. We created a bunch of really cool stuff using jQuery and CSS and using some of the concepts that I have covered in previous posts including CSS peephole and my jQuery scroller. jQuery Scroller bug fix

I ’ve just fixed a but in my jQuery Scroller which made it blow up in IE when no margin or padding is given for the scroller items. Put simply IE will treat it as auto whereas everything treats it as 0 and therefore parseInt wont work. Below is the updated scroller script which is also available on my original jQuery Scroller page. Thanks to Graeme for spotting the bug.

Google maps jQuery plugin

A handy little jquery plugin has been created to make google map integration a little easier. Its pretty much a simpler way of calling the maps functions and giving parameters which can be a bit of a bitch if you do it the old way. You can check it out here.

Kick arse image gallery

Tutorialzine has an image gallery that really takes advantage of javascript and CSS3. Its very original and can be very useful. To put it simply its a pile of photos with real life functionality. The images themselves are each a fancybox link but thats not the cool part. You can grab each photo and move them around and pretty much chuck them anywhere you want even on top of each. Not fancy but awesome

So I was listening to It’s Up For Grabs Now - The Arsenal Podcast with Alan Davies as I have done since it started and at the end they gave mention of a football website called Football Filter. Its a website that collates football news and podcasts from all the major english speaking newspapers, magazines and websites.
