Album of the Week - The Fourth Season
The Fourth Season
Vanishing Point
The Fourth Season is the latest offering from Australian metal act Vanishing Point and was released in 2007. I had never heard of these guys until they opened for Iron Maiden on their recent tour. I was very impressed by the show they put on and immediately went looking for this album.
This is a great example of what can still be achieved in the metal genre and is very surprising that it came from an Australian band as this country isn’t known for its top metal acts and to be honest the public could be a little more appreciative of the genre. So anyway, The Fourth Season has a great mix of what makes metal great. Tempo changes, awesome solos, powerful frontman. It really is worth a listen if you enjoy metal.
So here are my top picks for Vanishing Point’s ’The Fourth Season’. I wont waste time saying why I love these songs, they’re just awesome ok:
- Surrender
- Hope Among the Heartless
- Ashen Sky
- Wake Me
